The rhododendren in front of our house was within a day of the executioner's blade. It had never bloomed during the five years we've lived here, so plans were in place to replace it with something more colorful. Alas, this morning, as the chain saw warmed up, I discovered this. Rhoddy's death sentence has been commuted, at least for another year.

A Rhody's Reprieve
The rhododendren in front of our house was within a day of the executioner's blade.
